Haircuts

Brody gets his haircut about once a month now, but I held out for a very long time before we got Lincoln a "real" haircut.  I love his blond, baby soft hair and it's so hard to let it go.  I know that once the hair cutting starts for boys they usually end up with coarser hair that's not as nice to run your kisses through.  But, it was time.  He was a sweaty mess anytime he played outside and clearly it was not comfortable for him.

So, here they are!  Sweet little boys with matching cuts.  It amazes me the difference in their hair color!!  Just two years ago I would have said Brody was about as blonde of a kid as I was going to get and then Lincoln came along and just proved me wrong.

Quick Trip To FL

Mike had to spend a few extra days in Tallahassee this month, so we hopped in the car with him and made the trip.  While he was working with the soldiers, the kids and I drove down to Ocala to visit family and friends!!

It's such a blessing to see my kids with my grandpa making sweet memories.

His backyard was perfect for playing yard games and running through sprinklers.

It was great to get away and relax, especially after recently finding out the news about the baby and being so sick.  It kind of took my mind off of the 24 hour sickness I had been experiencing.

We also got to hop over and see our old neighbors from seminary while we were down there.  We miss this crew more than we could express.  It's so hard for me to see this picture and think that when we met, Logan was just 5 months old, and now there are 6, almost 7, of them!!

Logan was in 7th heaven with grandpa because he was all about playing games and doing puzzles-- which she LOVES.

And the icing on the cake was when Mimi showed up to surprise us!  I didn't think that my parents would be able to make it out, but was so thrilled that she was able to make the trip to see us.  Can't wait to do it again sometime!
